Taher Abbas Shangari holds a bachelor's degree from Shahid Chamran University of Ahwaz, Iran, and a master's degree from AmirKabir University of Technology, Iran.
Taher's research interests center around Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Cognitive Sceience. These have entailed studying Learning by Imitation, Reinforcement Learning, Dynamic, Robot Localization, Multi- Robot Mapping, Face Recognition, Scan-to-BIM(3D Reconstruction), and Multisensory Integration.
Taher also maintains an interest in many topics in mathematics and computer science, including linear algebra, algorithms, complex networks, and trust evalutaion in social networks.
Taher has been the recipient of rank 1st in Humanid Kidsize Soccer League Robocup 2014 as a member of AUT-UoM kid-size Robotic team. He also received Rank 174th among over 30,000 participants in the Nationwide Entrance Exam for master of science in Computer science Group.
